Pilots for Patients is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that coordinates free volunteer flights for medically stable patients. Access to any personal information — not just sensitive medical details — is heavily restricted within our organization. Only members who need the information to perform a specific role, such as our coordinators and system administrators, are granted access.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to carry out our mission — for example, with the volunteer pilot assigned to a mission, or with service providers (such as payment processors) who help us operate. We may also disclose information when required by law.
We store personal information in a secured environment and limit access to authorized members. Pilot portal accounts are password-protected, and passwords are case-sensitive. While no system can be guaranteed completely secure, we take reasonable precautions to protect the information you share with us.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to any records we are required to retain. To make a request or ask a question about this statement, please contact us.
